Work Permit - Introduction
The work permit in Thailand.
To work in Thailand must hold a Non-Immigrant Visa B and obtain a Work Permit (Work Permit). Some professions, listed by royal decree are forbidden to foreigners. The assessment criteria for granting a work permit are: - Proof that the work done by a foreigner could be a Thai; - Seven Thai workers are employed for a foreigner or 35 workers for a foreign technician (this criterion may be changed at any time); - The capital is greater than or equal to two million baht a work permit. Attention to certain categories of employees the procedure involves the intervention of other Thai government or professional bodies. This is particularly true of teachers. It should check with the employer and verify that it has followed the required administrative procedures. The application may be made by the same person or company that wants to use it.
